Northern Union is the realization of a dream that began over ten years ago. While visiting friends in Chicago, owners Matt & Lauren Wickert made an impromptu stop into a small wine bar in the city. What began as a stop for a pre-dinner drink ended with a night of good wine, excellent food and great conversation. Since that day they have talked about creating their very own space on the East Coast. In 2015, they put together a team of awesome individuals to help them achieve their goal; Superfine Food & Wine in a warm, relaxing environment with amazing service.

Tim Yee

Barmaster Tim Yee (formerly of The Painted Burro, Boston) is the anchor of our craft cocktail and curated beers at Northern Union. Tim has been with us since the beginning, and brings an amazing level of creativity to the cocktail program. He knows his wine, too. Rumor has it that Matt won't bring in any new wines until he gets the nod of approval from Tim.
